Grade 8 Girls Capture King Intermediate Tournament Championship
Girls Volleyball Teams Compete Against Leeward's Best
The Grade 7 and Grade 8 Girls Volleyball teams challenged Leeward Oahu's best during volleyball matches held on November 3 at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Grade 7 team took the first set from Waianae Intermediate, but lost the second set. Due to time constraints, the match ended in a tie. The Grade 8 girls took the first set from Waianae Intermediate, lost the second, prevailing in the final set to claim the Grade 8 championship. The MMS Girls Volleyball teams would like to thank Mr. Roy Miyoga, Mr. Richard Townsend, and the Waianae Intermediate Volleyball teams for allowing them to participate in this tournament and to have the opportunity to play in the "Stanley!" A big "Mahalo" to Mr. Paul Stanley, Media Teacher, for taking photos of this special event.
